Before coming to us, Curtis faced an uncertain future, landing on the euthanasia list at another shelter. Although he was adopted from there, it was not the right match. His previous adopter contacted us for help, and he was surrendered to us. In just under a month, Curtis’ life changed forever. Michael, a veteran looking for a companion, walked into our shelter and instantly connected with Curtis. It was love at first sight, and Curtis found the perfect partner in Michael. Since his adoption in August 2022, Curtis has thrived in ways we could have only dreamed of. Michael has been training him to become his service dog, and Curtis has embraced his new role with enthusiasm and dedication. Together, they’ve built an unbreakable bond that has transformed both of their lives. These past two years have been the best of Curtis’ life, filled with love, purpose, and the companionship he always deserved. We’re so proud of Curtis and grateful to Michael for giving him a second chance and a life full of meaning.
