How old do you have to be to volunteer
You must be at least 11 years old to volunteer at the shelter. Youth volunteers 11 and 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Volunteers 13 years of age and up can serve without a parent or legal guardian present. Youth volunteers can help clean cat cages, feed and water cats, bathe puppies and wash dishes.
Can I carry out community service hours at the Humane Society?
Yes, but you must submit a Community Service Application.

Our programs are so diverse. We can typically accommodate a wide range of skill sets.
