Covid-19 Update

As you are well aware, the world is currently dealing with a pandemic involving the COVID-19 Virus. As an essential community resource, The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach takes the health and welfare of our team, volunteers, and animals very seriously. We see this as being a fluid situation that requires us to assess our
day-to-day operations to keep ourselves safe and healthy while continuing to provide the best possible care for our animals and our community.
After careful consideration and in an effort to ensure the safety and health of our team, we will be operating on an “Appointment Only” schedule for adoptions for the foreseeable future. Doing our part to reduce the probability of virus transmission is the most important choice we can make right now.
ALL events have been canceled until further notice.
Volunteers are asked to stay home at this time as well. Our staff will provide exemplary daily care and enrichment for the animals in our care while you are away.
How You Can Help:

  • Foster: We are always in need of foster families and now, more than ever, we need fosters to care for animals in their homes. HSNMB provides all of the supplies for pets while they are being fostered. Sign up today at https://humanesocietynmb.org/be-a-foster-caregiver/
  • Adopt: Visit our list of adoptable pets “in real-time” at https://humanesocietynmb.org/adopt/ If you are interested in rescuing a pet, please call us at 843-249-4948 to schedule an adoption appointment.
  • Donate Supplies: Order items directly from our Amazon Wishlist and your donations will be delivered straight to the shelter. For those of you wishing to deliver your donations in person, a bin is located at the entrance to the shelter for you to drop off items.
  • Donate Funds: Three of our large fundraisers have been canceled so far, with the likelihood that several others will be canceled as well. These events provide us the means for our vital, life-saving programs to help the animals. Please consider making a general donation or sponsoring a shelter pet to help during this critical time. Give here!
While this is uncharted territory for all of us, we want to assure everyone that we are monitoring the situation very closely. We are confident that our team will continue to rise to the occasion and work together to get through this difficult time.
Stay Healthy!
