Micro-chip Scanner Station

In March 2025, we launched Horry County’s first Micro-chip Lost Pet Scanner Station, a groundbreaking resource designed to help lost pets find their way back home. This community-driven initiative, located at Murray Law Group, LLC (3775 Sea Mountain Hwy, Little River, SC 29566), provides step-by-step instructions on scanning pets for micro-chips and contacting their owners. If a pet is not micro-chipped, the station offers guidance on next steps and provides essential resources, including contact information for local animal control agencies.

*For shelters/rescues who are interested in setting up a station, we’ve created a helpful guide with a list of recommended supplies and tips to get you started. Download the guide here.

Sponsor or Host a Station

Want to help lost pets get home faster? You can sponsor a micro-chip scanner station, host one at your business or organization—or do both! These stations provide a quick, easy way to scan found pets for a microchip and reunite them with their families.
